THIS, THIS is what it’s like to think your ship is lost. You leave a season finale, hearing the epic I love you only to have one get kidnapped and not know if the actress is coming back for the last season.

You return next season and she trades herself for his life. Then she is gone for EPISODES. (Keep in mind we were lucky AM came back for the last season.)

And then us poor fans get the added bonus of having the entire comic book world work against you. Do you know what it’s like to ship a couple that hadn’t existed in the comics. She hadn’t existed in the comics. To be told that they can’t be together because for decades in the comics he was with someone else? You are constantly waiting for the ball to drop, waiting for them to break up because you suspect TPTB are going to do that to bring the show show in line with the comics by the series finale.

Well it can be done. Fuck everyone else, my fucking OTP got married (And had a baby). Now tell me that wasn’t against all the odds.
